Alan R.
Swajkoski,
M.D.
Dr. Swajkoski earned his
Bachelor of Biology
degree with distinction
from Virginia
Polytechnic Institute.
He received his Master
of Science in Anatomy
and his Doctor of
Medicine degrees from
the Medical College of
Virginia.
After completing his
residency at the U.S.
Naval Hospital in
Portsmouth, Virginia, he
served the Navy as an
OB/GYN, holding several
physician leadership
positions at naval
hospitals in Guam and
Portsmouth. He chaired
the OB/GYN department at
the Naval Hospital in
Guam.
The desire to practice
and live in an area with
friendly people, good
schools, top hospital
facilities and access to
great fishing holes led
Dr. Swajkoski and his
wife Cheryl (Missy) to
Boise.
In addition to his
bustling OB/GYN
practice, Dr. Swajkoski
has a subspecialty
interest in
urogynecology, which
pertains to the
evaluation of pelvic
organ prolapse including
urinary incontinence
with emphasis on both
surgical and nonsurgical
treatment. He is the
Medical Director of the
Adult Urinary
Incontinence Clinic at
the Idaho Elk’s
Rehabilitation Hospital
and sees patients there
for advanced evaluation
and treatment of
incontinence.
Dr. Swajkoski enjoys
spending time with Missy
and their four adult
children. He very much
enjoys road bicycling,
fishing and following
college football.
